Good digital portrait

Got a 'Digitales Portrait' of my cat. Looked just like him. Fast delivery once approved. Easy process. Happy with it.

Consistent quality, reliable service

This was my third time ordering from IchBinGelb, this time a 'Familienportrait Gelb' for my parents. I've previously gotten a 'Pärchen Portrait' and a 'Haustier Portrait Gelb'. Every time, the quality of the artwork has been consistently good, capturing the unique features of everyone. The process for submitting photos and requesting tweaks is familiar to me now. Delivery times have been pretty much what they state, which is great for planning gifts. I keep coming back because I know what to expect, and they always deliver on that fun, yellow cartoon style.

Decent custom portrait, some delays

I ordered a 'Gelbes Portrait' for my partner's birthday, featuring us as a couple. The ordering process was pretty straightforward on the website, uploading the photo and specifying details. It took about 10 days for them to send the initial draft, which was a bit longer than I expected, but it was generally good. I requested one small revision on the hair color, and they got back to me within 24 hours with the updated version. The final digital file arrived promptly after that. The quality of the drawing itself is solid, captures our likeness well in that cartoon style. Communication was decent when I had questions. Overall, a good experience, just plan for a little extra time for revisions.

Good value for a fun gift

I was looking for a unique gift and found IchBinGelb. I ended up getting a 'Portrait auf Tasse' as a 'Neukundenrabatt' popped up for 10% off when I was about to leave the site. It wasn't a huge discount but every little bit helps. The price felt fair for a personalized item, especially with the discount. The final product was pretty cool, definitely worth what I paid for it. The person who received it really liked it. It felt like a good purchase, not something you see everywhere.

Are these guys legit? Like, are the portraits actually good quality and look like the photos you send?

P Paula Whitfield 2 months ago

Yeah, totally legit. My family portrait was spot on, everyone loved it. They capture the likeness really well in that style.

B Brett 2 months ago

Mine was great! The details were all there from the photos. Had one minor revision but it was handled fast.

Has anyone gotten a portrait from IchBinGelb and also from Make Me Yellow? Wondering which one is better quality.

T Troy 2 months ago

I've only tried IchBinGelb, but I was really happy with their style. Never used Make Me Yellow so can't compare directly.

M Mark C. 2 months ago

My friend used Make Me Yellow and it was okay, but I prefer the IchBinGelb style; it feels more authentic to the show, if that makes sense.

Anyone know if you can use more than one discount code at checkout? Got a newsletter one and saw an influencer code too.

O Omar 2 months ago

Nah, pretty sure it's just one code per order. I tried to stack them once and it wouldn't let me.

S Sophie Whitfield 2 months ago

Correct, only one applies. Learned that the hard way during Black Friday.

Can you pay with PayPal or is it just credit card stuff?

R Rachel Kaur 1 month ago

I paid with PayPal last month, so yeah, that's an option.

R Rachel 1 month ago

They have a bunch of payment methods, including PayPal. I used Apple Pay actually.

Hey, thinking of getting one of these for my gf's birthday. How long do they usually take to draw and ship to, say, California?

C Cleo Marsh 2 months ago

Mine took about a week for the digital file, then another week for the poster print to get to me in Texas. So maybe two weeks total from ordering to having it in hand.

J Julia 2 months ago

Yeah, the drawing itself is pretty quick, like a few days maybe. Shipping depends, but I think it was less than 2 weeks to Florida for my canvas.

Is there a limit to how many people you can get in one portrait? Thinking of getting one for the whole extended family.

M Mike Reyes 2 months ago

I think they can do quite a few, my group portrait had 8 people and a dog. You just choose the 'group cartoon' option.

O Omar D. 2 months ago

No hard limit that I saw, just select how many characters. More people just costs a bit more obviously.

What kind of photos do they need? Just regular phone pics or do they have to be super high-res professional ones?

P Priya 2 months ago

Just good clear phone pics are fine. Make sure faces are visible and good lighting. Mine were just selfies.

M Marcus 2 months ago

Yeah, nothing fancy. As long as it's not blurry or super dark, you should be good.
